I have never had a bad experience here, I continue to be pleasantly surprised by how low the prices are and the quality of the service. The staff is friendly and treat their customers like family. The other day I witnessed the woman at the counter taking her time to go out to an elderly customers car to help her bring her items in. She was patient, kind and very helpful. When reading reviews please note how very long ago they were written. I wish there was some rule that "timed out" ancient reviews.

I need to say that I have used this dry cleaner for 22 years and their quality has always been good. Sue at the front desk is a sweetheart and has once rescued a Cubs jersey from some serious mud. However the other day I was met by a very angry and disturbed manager when I was inquiring as to the mask policy - as we all know we are in a pandemic with a mandate that businesses that are open are required to mask: customers AND employees, in order to have the privilege to be open. And dry cleaning not being an "essential business" is lucky to have their doors open and receive business right now. I am glad to bring them business but was disappointed that there was no sign, the young woman up front was not masked and the angry man from the back defended their no mask position and wrangled me that I was not welcome to return. Frankly, I contracted COVID at a local business from an unmasked person and passed it on to my 87 year old mom who could have died, so for businesses to be so careless and disobey state mandates - I was compelled to write a negative review. Normally, again, SUE is wonderful, she gets 5 stars (she has been masked lately, thanks Sue!), but just the attitude of this man - not the manager or owner, but the man in charge at the time, was unbelievable. Compelling me to leave 2, not more stars, for poor customer treatment.

As being a young(er) local business professional, certainly dressing to impress has and will continue to be a necessity. I have relied upon this establishment on multiple accounts to launder my more delicate clothing items. After the encounter I experienced today my reliance upon this establishment will likely stop. The details of the visit: - I came in around 5:30 on a late Monday afternoon on 1/27/20. The middle-aged older female dry cleaning attendant lady was inhospitable and outright snippy and crass in her disposition. To be fair, it was late in the day, but all things being equal, I just completed a 9-hour work day too and I still made my best effort to be cordial. I had never seen this lady before and maybe she works in more of the BOH operations were she should just be kept full-time. I should point out that I have dropped off before and a 2 or 3 day turnaround on clothing has never been an issue. Apparently, according to cranky middle-aged lady, that qualifies as a timeline of the items being considered "rushed" for which a 20% surcharge is applicable upon said request. My takeaway is the new norm is a minimum 5 day out completion of rendered services. She couldn't even quote me an accurate estimate. From the cranky lips uttered: "I don't know for sure, but off the top of my head, for example if it's like $5 / item times 2 with a surcharge of 20% then it looks like the total would then be 12." Like thank you ma'am. I went to collage too and nonetheless have a calculator or can compute basic math in my head. What I would hope for instead is better familiarity with what your actual rates are and a friendly disposition. At any rate, I will be there on Wednesday to pick up my dry cleaning, pay the 20% surcharge and probably not return. I hope middle-age unfriendly lady starts to have a better 2020.
