I am hesitant to post an amazing review as I would hate for me to not be able to book there!!! This was such a pleasant surprise for our family. We were looking to stay in SLO or Paso on our way down to the Oceano Dunes and the prices were insane. So I started to look around and found this treasure off the beaten path. We stayed in the Post Office and absolutely loved the nostalgia. The pool was a lovely reprieve from the heat and the onsite BBQ and picnic tables were perfect to use for dinner time! We met an adorable local ranch dog who hung out with us and loved our pup! We cannot wait to go back!
When I went to V6 ranch in May, I had a wonderful time at the V6 Ranch. Richard and Cheryl Winters were wonderful hosts at The V6 Ranch for The Woman Horses Retreat. All the staff members were kind and helpful if anyone needed help. I can't wait to go to the Cowboy Academy 101 in October.
I just spent some of the best 4 days of my life at the V6 Dudette weekend. I have always wanted to learn how to drive and sort cattle on a working ranch. The V6 offered everything I wanted and more. We were given one of their working horses to ride, and mine was Rolli, a perfect match as she was easy but cowy. We rode part of the 20,000 acre ranch learning about the history of a working ranch. We then went out looking for strays and drove them to their pastures. One day, we learned team sorting, and it was a blast. Second round became competitive, and we all wanted to have the best time.
