Absolutely unethical, unprofessional & untrustworthy. Mr. Grimes was rude and sharp with my elderly mother to the point she would no longer speak with him. Ms. Penland, his assistant, established a nice relationship with my mother but then Mr. Grimes made sure he was the only one to have contact with my mother. This office even went as far as to say Ms. Penland quit working there to keep her from assisting our family. Mr. Grimes charged my parents $1,925.25 to prepare one year of taxes ( note they did not own a private business, they were retired, had no investments, straightforward, simple, tax return).
