I contacted Home Depot for a water heater replacement. They referred me to Corliss & Son. They called me back after 6 hours, and quoted me: $630 for a new 40 gal water heater, and, get this, $2,375 for installation and removal of the old one!!! That's highway robbery at its finest! Even if they charge $200/hr, it doesn't take 12 hours to replace a water heater!! It should be $500 max. I told them forget it, I will do it myself.
