Over promised and under-delivered. They began by installing the fence incorrectly. When my wife said something, one of the owners - who was part of the team - was argumentative and condescending. When I came home and got involved, they did acquiesce and fix that particular issue - but then tried to charge me for the extra supplies and labor required to fix THEIR mistake. The rest of the experience played out like this. They assured us they'd re-enforce the gates, but we had to remind this of that as well - and again they argued. One gate failed in the first month - under 30 mph gusts. I left two messages and they never responded. Now - over a year later, another of the gates has failed. The only positive in all this is that it has forced me to learn how to do this RIGHT myself. I really wish I'd listened to my wife and gone with a different company.

First and foremost John at 5 Star Fence deserves major credit for how helpful he was throughout my fence build with a neighbor who wasnt too happy with my project. He was very patient, very knowledgeable, never once pushy, and the quality of the work was better than promised. All the members of the work crew were equally courteous, knew what they were each doing and worked very efficiently as a team. I was nervous getting the project started but once the crew showed up they handled everything (even a few unexpected obstacles) like absolute professionals. Most importantly for me, I needed the fence built RIGHTTTTTT up to the property line based off survey markers. John and the crew did an impeccable job under what could be considered "hostile" conditions. In these situations you need a contractor that is 100% working for your best interest and that is exactly what John and 5 star delivered. The quality of the materials they provided was also much heavier duty than what was promised. I can not say enough good things about John and the crew that installed our fence.

So grateful I found Five Star Fence after 3 months of looking for a company to build a catio. I spoke and met with a few companies that specialized in catio's. One did everything by phone with photos of the property and the other came in person to the house and seemed uninterested and I believe he thought we asked to many questions. Just as I was about to give up, I decided to call fence companies and chose Five Star Fence after speaking with John Flores. He told me about the catio's the company had built and he had no problem answering my questions. I made an appointment to have him meet me at my clients house who rescues cats. I showed him what she wanted, we went over every detail from the redwood being used to the latch on the door...John was wonderful! We got on the schedule and work began a few weeks later as we agreed. John was there every morning with an incredible carpenter who to my surprise was very detailed. The roof, the sheet metal on the edges, the quality of the hardware and the frame around the wire mesh for aesthetics. The crew was amazing and went above and beyond on the details for the safety of the cats. The catio was purrfect in every way. My client was thrilled with the finished structure and so was I. I'm hard to please because I'm a general contractor so details are important to me when I'm doing a project. As easy as a catio looks, you have to build it right for it to last. What you see online is cute but you'll be replacing it in the near future. Ask to speak with John Flores, he's fantastic. FYI, the staff and crew at Five Star Fence are real animal lovers. I have already given their name out to a few pet lovers that want something custom for their cats or dogs.
