As part of our west coast travel itinerary, and while staying in Orick, my dad and I knew we wanted to complete a trail ride through the Redwood National Forest and Redwood Creek Buckerettes was just the place to do it with. Upon arriving, the horses were saddled and ready to go. We were supplied helmets and a step up to mount the horses. We received a brief for each horse and away we went up the mountain. Our guide provided wonderful facts along the way and provided a great tour through the forest. Truly unforgettable trip and would recommend to anyone looking to experience the redwoods upon the back of a horse.
My fiance and I took the two hour ride - it was fantastic! The guide was knowledge about the forest and told us some good facts and information on some of the trees. I rode Alfie who was a perfectly behaved boy. The horses are all in good shape and well taken care of. If you’re looking for a beautiful ride amongst the trees I suggest!!
What an incredible experience. The sisters were wonderful leaders guiding us into the forest and shared information about the ecosystem. The horse looked healthy and happy and we all had a smooth, fun and safe ride. Thank you for giving my daughter and me such an unforgettable time.
