After Clarke & Rush (the company that installed my system and serviced it for the last 17 years) incorrectly diagnosed my furnace problem as a bad gas valve (costing me $1,000!) my furnace was STILL not working correctly and kept shutting off due to a system error. They sent a second tech out and diagnosed that it was the logic board in the system (another $1500 bucks!). BUT.....but....they would credit the $1,000 I already spent (which did NOT fix the problem) to a NEW heating and air system. Um....ya, we have not budgeted an extra 20 grand this year for a system replacement. FORTUNATELY, a longtime friend recommended Golden Aire! Chris came out and spent an hour and a half double-checking the system including other diagnostics the C&R techs missed (power supply, outlet and breaker supplying the system... etc) since the basic issue was a voltage drop out in the system (incorrectly diagnosed by C&R as a gas valve error). He confirmed it was the logic board (a pretty costly item) but was able to get the part in 2 business days and returned to install it!!! In addition he found a leaking condensation hose that had a lose clamp on one end and NO clamp on the other (it was sitting in the house where the C&R tech had left it....not bothering to put it back on) and repaired that was well cleaned my burner assemble and checked all the other sensors/wiring again. Golden Aire saved me over $500 compared to what C&R wanted to do the job! I'm happy to report that my system is back working normally again! Thanks Chris and Golden Aire!!!!
