Job started off a on a good footing but….as we proceeded into the bidding process and through to build out, frequency of communication slowed. Heard more than “once, we’ll work with you on pricing and inclusions” after we signed the contract. Mistake! Solid subs, site manager was great. Estimate was on the high side. Would not use again due to high estimate, communication and failure to stand by their word. Ghosting your clients is not acceptable.

I have used Phil-Co on 3 projects now. Good communication, on-time and on Budget. I would not hesitate to use them again. Phil Schwalbe is honest and hard working. A rare trait for sure when dealing with contractors in today's economy.

PhilCo is notorious for not paying their subcontractors (we only found out about this after rushing out to do calls for them, were never paid, and given the run around by the office). If you look at other review sites you will see the same stories over and over again, PhilCo doesn't pay their subcontractors. We ACTUALLY did get paid! However, this was only after reporting them to the State Licensing Board, and reporting them to their Bond Company. Both their State License and Bond were listed as pending before they sent payment.
