What an incredible find! This relatively small stone yard had, in my opinion, the most interesting and beautiful selection of quartzite in the LA area - even better than the larger places, like Stone Mart and Modul Marble. As an added benefit, my sales lady, Silvia, was an absolute sweetheart to work with. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the market for natural stone!
GEM International is truly a GEM! I stumbled upon them as I was driving around looking for another natural stone store. I walked in at about 4:15pm on a Friday (they close at 4:30) and was greeted by Aurora. She was so friendly, helpful and one of the most quartzite knowable people I have met in my search for the perfect countertop. Even though it was almost closing Aurora did not rush me and immediately emailed me pictures and prices of the different slabs I was interested in before she left for the weekend.
