The school's instructors, particularly Bill, are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about their students' learning process. Bill is known for his exceptional teaching skills, making lessons enjoyable and effective while ensuring students feel confident behind the wheel. Students have praised his ability to explain and demonstrate driving techniques, particularly in stick shift driving, which has left many feeling ready to tackle manual transmission vehicles. Mr. Pearstein’s in-person permit class in Monterey/Carmel was a great experience. He made the lessons easy to understand and kept the class engaging instead of just reading from a book the whole time. He explained California driving laws clearly, answered questions well, and shared real driving situations that actually helped prepare me for the permit test. Overall, it was informative, organized, and a good environment for first-time drivers.

Initially, there was a miscommunication where I wasn’t able to schedule my driving lesson through the online portal, but the owner, Bill, called me directly and resolved the issue.
The driving instructor was very helpful to students, he always helped students with what they didn’t understand and provided valuable advice. He was very informative and honest about driving expectations and consequences. Drive Carmel is very good for teenagers to learn driving rules, expectations, and consequences. Drive Carmel is very good for young drivers and provides valuable insights on driving and safety. Drive Carmel is worth the price and experience you will gain for your teenager.
