“Not only is Gusano a kick ass barber, his barber shop is also one of a kind. He literally has so many different kinds of memorabilia from sports and BMX to Classic cars and VW’s. It’s always best to make an appointment since he is usually pretty busy with a steady schedule of loyal clientele. I always get compliments on my haircuts from the most random people when I go to him and that is one sign that your barber really does know what he is doing. Not only is he a friendly guy but his customers are also very friendly. I was actually a little surprised at how many people that i had either already known or had gotten to know when I was at his shop, especially since I did not grow up in the Montebello area.“

“Adam knows what he is doing! I'm 47 years old and my first barber, up to my mid 30s, would use a straight razor to do touch ups. I thought using a straight razor was a lost art! I got a great cut and had a nice conversation with him. The prices are market average, but rest assured you are getting a proper cut.“

“Sharkey's is seriously one of the best barbershops in the area. Mark is super talented -- easily one of the best barbers I've had. I've also had cuts from a few of the other guys there and they all do a pretty solid job too. One thing I really like is that they actually give you a hard part (a lot of barbers won't do that), and they know how to work around cowlicks so your cut still looks clean. Every time I get my haircut here, I end up getting compliments, which is always a nice bonus. If you're a guy with a beard who needs a fade and beard trim, definitely check these guys out. Parking can be a little tight since it's right by a residential area, but I've never had too much trouble finding a spot. Just make sure to book your appointments ahead of time -- they stay busy. They also normally show the dodger game on tv too which is an added bonus.“

“Was in the area and needed a quick cut for an event. Checked out some local reviews and came across this shop, and decided to give them a try. The shop looks newly renovated and the atmosphere was relaxing. There is a good amount of parking (which they share with neighboring businesses). Anthony helped me out with my cut and did a great job. He is very confident in his abilities and provided a nice fade/taper. This isn't my usual shop, but I will definitely be back in if I'm in the area again.“
