My mother and I came across Joe Hamer Salon by chance while she was staying at a nearby hotel. We decided to walk in without an appointment, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made.
My mother had her hair blown out by Ryan, who was kind, professional, and incredibly skilled. While she was finishing up, I decided to get a haircut in preparation for starting law school the following week. Ryan took the time to understand what I was looking for and delivered exactly the look I had in mind. It was clean, sharp, and professional. He made sure every detail was right and gave me a cut that helped me feel confident and ready for the next chapter.

I am so happy that in my trip to San Francisco I discovered this place! I just needed a haircut + coloring, but it's always scary to get it at an unfamiliar place, especially before an important event. I got super lucky that I got April who made my hair look really smooth, classy and shiny, and made a ton of difference with how confident I felt at an event. April was kind, welcoming and listened carefully to what I needed. She cut my hair perfectly to the exact right length, she made excellent recommendations on the shampoo for me to use that makes my hair look so much better, and she also suggested that I tweak my hair style to fit me better, and then taught me to do...read full review
This review is for Garrett @ Joe Hamer. I’ve been looking for a colorist to highlight my hair for a while in SF, and am very particular also about how my hair is cut. He is perfection!!! He’s so detailed, thoughtful and does insane work. I can’t say enough positive things about Garrett. I will recommend him to my family and friends!! Feel so lucky to have found him!!
