Dr Don Carter has been my "go to" doctor for nose and throat issues for years and he is one of the most caring, intelligent doctors I've ever been to. He really is kind and takes his time to listen to all your issues. We are lucky to have such an experienced ENT doctor in the Merced area.

Dr. Carter knows his stuff and took good care of my medical needs. However, his bedside manner is devoid of any kind of human compassion. If you irritate him in the slightest, he has a tantrum and becomes verbally condescending. That makes it extremely difficult and uncomfortable for a patient when a doctor is supposed to treat his patients with dignity and respect. He does neither of those. Front office staff is WONDERFUL!!

Dr Carter is a good doctor however the office practice sucks. Apparently it doesn't matter if you have an appt because they double and triple book them. Brought my 85 yr old aunt in for her scheduled appt. So if your appt is at 10:20 don't hold your breath. 5 people already waiting and it was 10:10. A patient came in after we did and said he was a walk he was told to come in at 10:20. Smh. Be prepared for at least an hour wait on top of waiting in the room.
