OK, I know I am over 18..... GASP, OH NO! YES, REALLY!... I am from the east coast, and am used to a specific type of care, where the doctor answers to you and you are encouraged to speak up about that care. However, having been in insurance limbo for a while, and having to rely in state medical for a time, I find a difference in the haves and have not. That being said, after searching for a provider I could relate to, I found this place, and chose the PA as my primary. Not an MD, I know, but, just as qualified to care for people, as I have dealt with and been in the medical field 20+ years. Right away, the PA and I made each other understood on what we expected from the other. That is a great quality when looking for a healthcare provider, believe me. She made me feel comfortable, and, she listens, a BIG plus. She tells me when she is getting too overwhelmed, as I have multiple medical issues, letting me know which ones to focus in if there is not an immediate issue I need to address. A healthcare provider is an important decision for anyone. Please, research your choices and make an informed decision. It's your right as well as obligation to be an active player in your health care. IMO, Children and Family Care is a choice well made, for a child or adult.
