I gave this place 2 stars because they do a decent job at cutting but the service is terrible. So, I had been away from Madera since 2016, when I moved to LA for college. When I moved back, I had to find a barber in town and came across Barber Ave. I gave it a shot and was coming here at least since September of 2024. The barbers are young, between the ages of 19-22. Due to their limited life experience, they can come off as immature — often cussing when kids are present and not being able to engage in mature conversations. I was willing to look past that because they can cut hair; however, their arrogance and immaturity became too much for me to continue overlooking.... read full review

It was like going to one of the old-fashioned barbershops.Where everyone is sitting around talking and having a good time.They made sure that my grandson was completely happy before we left. Thank you Curtis.

I always love coming to the place. The guys who work there know what they do and they do it well. They got a TV and music on to keep ya company while you wait - and that's if they ain't already cracking you up when they talking to each other or other clients. I always get my haircut with Edward and he's always don't GREAT with my hair. I wouldn't go with anybody else.
