Hired Eco to rebuild our kitchen to give my wife the kitchen of her dreams...which has now turned in to a nightmare!Start date : Jan 9th 2023Contract said 4 weeks so a completion date around Feb 9th give or take. It's now September 18th and the cabinets were only finished a couple (2/3) weeks ago - in fact they're actually not finished bc we are STILL waiting on our pantry which Christian has lied about so many times. A section of wood paneling on the fridge cut out has started to discolor. There is also water damage after his plumber did not hook up the water line on our dishwasher and caused a leak while were on vacation. He lied back in Jan when he switched cabinet vendors without telling us, kept on lying about the timeframe and such. He made so many promises and gave us dates to when stuff would get done but those promises and dates were meaningless. He hired a 3rd cabinet vendor (again without telling us). This crazy lady showed up with workers and started making design decisions on her own, lying to my wife about "what we can get" this lady even had the audacity to talk shit in front of my wife in Spanish but my wife speaks Spanish and called her out! When I eventually met this woman she also lied to me about the pantry size and lied to me saying she never lied to my wife and never spoke badly of her in Spanish...all lies. These builders paid zero attention to the design renderings and cut an entire section of the kitchen cabs wrong (hence they were telling us lies about pantry size bc they had already messed up and purchased the wrong pantry which was about $1,000.Now the stain - OMG every single door/drawer all the facia was different stains!!! So uneven dark spots/light spots/different wood/grain - and FINGERPRINTS!!!!!Christian came to look at it and he said and I quote my wife "oh this looks great" - her jaw was literally on the floor...The dude he hired to cut our stone was a total unprofessional. This dude cut the biggest section an L shape for the corners totally wrong...he never took in to account the fact the wall was not straight (Christians guys did all the drywall too) so there's a massive curve on the countertop - it starts out fine then curves and hugs the wall leaving the cabinets underneath actually sticking out FURTHER than the countertop! This fabricator has since vanished. Bear in mind folks my wife and I had no working sink/dishwasher/stove or anything so we have had to do all our dirty dishes in the bathroom sink and cook with microwaves/electric camping stove/air fryer for Months on end - now tell me is this ANY way to treat YOUR CLIENT who is in a WHEELCHAIR when life is hard just doing basic things - and he knew this all along and did NOTHING to get this done for her. He did buy us dinner a few timesChristian took 10 DAYS to come out to even look at it! He said oh yea we can fix this - another 10 days go by and he shows up with the cabinet dudes and I ask how is this going to fix my countertop? He then says oh yea it needs to be recut and bumped out. The stone guy is unreachable and actually blocked me and my attempts to have him answer as to why he did this and basically ruined a $1,700 countertop.We had to fire them as of last week.
Highly Recommended! Christian and his team were efficient, friendly, and neat; and all with a great attitude. They showed on time and were communicative throughout. We had some leaks with all the recent rainfall and had to replace some walls and some window framing. They came in and took care of everything in a few days. Even gave us some advice on some other home projects. He'll be our first call anytime we need a Contractor.
I was referred to Eco Builders by my partner who has used them several times in the past. We had a major leak in our roof during the heavy rains a few weeks back. We called Eco and they came the next day and fixed the roof the same day. We knew that they had done a good job because we had another storm two days later and the roof was perfect. I was so impressed with their work that I asked if they also did interior construction. Cristian came out, gave me a very reasonable quote, installed driers, and had the entire job completed within the timeline that they gave me and within budget. I would highly recommend Eco Builders for your construction needs.
