Dr. Liu is an amazing doctor—kind, warm-hearted, and guided by noble medical ethics. She truly cares for her patients as if they were her own family.
Her acupuncture skills are exceptional; I honestly think she's the best in the Bay Area, and I've been to quite a few acupuncturists. Dr. Liu is incredibly trustworthy and deeply loved by all her patients.
Dr. Caiqun Helen Liu, L.Ac. So can I just say, hands down she is the best!! I found this place by a fluke and I was suffering from my sciatica-like crazy. SO as I was driving down El Camino when all of a sudden, I saw this clinic for the first time. Almost as if I was being divinely guided in. At first I said to myself "Joey, get a grip with reality, have you lost your marbles? You understand, this is needles in the head and face and arms"! Come on!! Lol :) Pulled right on in to that parking lot. And that my friend was 9 years ago! So I decided to stop and give it a try..and boy was I glad. After she talked with me for a while, she had me lie down. She then began and had me extend my arm and she pushed on an area of my arm and said, does this hurt"? You could imagine, I was rolling my eyes and said to her " Ah yes, but the pain is not in my arm but my back"! She just gently smiled and said " Yes I know" She invited me to gently lay down and then started to carefully, instinctively, strategically place the needles. It did not hurt! I cannot explain that day, but It was almost as if she was this artist, and I was merely the canvas. She would ever so quickly position and land those needles like a painter does as they splash that paint on spots of the canvas where they know the artwork needs that color. So after I waited for her to initially return in about 30 min, she then changed the position of the needles and then had me lie another 15-20 min in a lightly lit room. When she returned it was over and she quickly removed these needles and discarded them in a container. From there I proceeded to go over to Costco and do a food run. As I was thinking about what just happened . In my mind, I placed it with some kind of Hocus Pocus show, pushing my cart around now 20 min had passed since I left. I was still in pain, so I thought.." What a science, it did not even work"!! Then all of a sudden..something happened, right in that Costco..the pain was gone!! At first, I thought, did I just smoke something"? A few seconds ago I still had the pain that radiated down my leg and started around the buttock area. I almost had to pinch myself. Since my cart had nothing in it, I decided to place it in a certain area where no one would run into it. I almost felt I was at a healing evangelical meeting" You know the type."Now come up on stage and claim your healing" And there I was in the middle of Costco..and thought I was going to shout out Hallelujah..super loud" The pain and the problem walking was GONE ..GONE!! I attribute this to her skill and talent being gifted at her craft and being used by the divine. Today 9 years later I went back because of my knee problem etc. Without going into further detail, lets just say I was unable to bend my knee well in going in. I am telling you, when I left I could bend my knee and without pain !! Give her a try and tell her Joey sent you. She is nothing but amazing!! Acupuncture does help and work, and in many cases almost acts as a miracle worker. You know years ago my grandmother would go and used Chinese medicine and she believed in it. She had her teas and potions, and truly was helped. Years later, I am a product of this woman, my grandmother. I am getting it, using this ancient form as my grandmother once did. Thank you Grandma! My grandma was not Asian, you do not need to be to get the benefit of this wise medical practice. When you come out of Dr. Liu's clinic, you may too be shouting out "Hallelujah" as if you were touched and healed. I am telling you, she is that good and awesome. She is also very humble, kind, knowledgeable, and has techniques that will touch your body. I close with this , perhaps there is something special here. And just maybe, that is why it is named 1-2-3 Acupuncture Clinic. Now think about that and let it sink in. :)
Dr. Helen Liu was referred to me by a stroke of luck. My left foot was experiencing scatter strange pain (soft tissue) on and off due to a fracture earlier this year. I saw a few doctors for my foot pain and nothing has worked. After going to 1-2-3 Acupuncture Clinic for a few reflexology, acupuncture, massage sessions, the frequency and pain level have both gone down significantly. Oh, believe me, it was not fun to have something poking the bottom of my foot but surprisingly it fixes the pain! There was a stiff and large scar tissue on my left foot and now it has disappeared! It is amazing what a knowledgable Chinese doctor can do to heal your body. I was skeptical at first since the other doctors all told me there's not much they can do about it. I'm so glad I found the right doctor! I often heard from the elderly Chinese generation the kind of wonders that a Chinese doctor can do, such as fixing your smoking craving, insomnia, seasonal allergy... Now I am a believer. And by the way, 1-2-3 Acupuncture Clinic accepts my health insurance! Lucky for me, some health insurance doesn't cover alternative medicine like acupuncture. But mine does and Dr. Liu is an in-network doctor.
