Our 23-year old hardwood floor desperately needed refinishing, and we figured we'd extend it through to the family room. Wood-N-Nichols had finished our old floor for us back in the day, when the original installer bailed on us (he laid a nice floor, though), so we chose them for this new job. We agreed on a start date, and they promised to be done in 4-5 days. The workers showed up Monday morning at 8:00, as scheduled, and they worked full days until the job was complete. A wood supply company recommended Tom and after our phone conversation I decided to go with him over a disagreement with my previous hardwood floor guy. Though Tom was $500.00 more I felt confident I was going to have the job done right. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I had to mark over 20 spots where putty was not put in the gaps. They guys took the left over wood that I purchased myself and still have not returned it. They put the top coat over dirt and poorly sanded areas leaving an unsightly finish. I spoke to Tom and he agreed to look at it. I had to take a vacation day from work and Tom was a no show.
