This review is for Dr. Susan Ishioka. I went to Dr. Ishioka after receiving consultation from another orthodontist that my kids' dentist referred us to and boy was Dr. Ishioka different from the first. I had to wait 'til January 2023 for an appointment because she wasn't accepting new patients towards the end of 2022 but I'm so glad I didn't find another ortho. Dr. Ishioka was kind and caring and her awesome personality and demeanor was backed up with wealth of professional experience and knowledge as an orthodontist. Dr. Tran was nothing short of amazing. It was my 4 year old son's first visit to the dentist and she was so caring and patient with him. She took the time to speak calmly to him and show/explain the process. He was immediately calm and was happy to allow her work on him. She made the tools appear less scary and gave him time to adjust when he needed it. I highly recommend Dr. Tran if you have a little one who may be hesitant to visit the dentist.
Dr. Pai and Dr. Ishioka are an amazing team and treat their patients like family. When my oldest daughter injured her jaw and cracked several teeth in a fall, Dr. Pai and Dr. Ishioka walked us through the entire process. They came in on their time off to treat her, called us after hours to check on her, helped her schedule appointments with the oral surgeon and endodontist, and have done an incredible job repairing her teeth. Throughout the entire process, they have been so caring and supportive.
