Corpo Fechado and the rest of people here are amazing! I recently started and I signed up on the first day. Not only do we learn about capoeira, we sing, play instruments, exercise, make friends, and all in safe and welcoming environment. Love this place!

This is a space where a community grows and flourishes. Professor Corpo Fechado shares his talents and knowledge in a constructive and meaningful way, encouraging confidence and individuality within a community. Nobody is competing against anybody. He sees the strengths and potential of each student and works with them, motivating us to get better and not to be afraid to explore and keep trying. I am a student. A fairly new student who joined as a curiosity to explore capoeira. I am what is labeled as "a senior citizen" and I have a fear of being upside down. Guess what!!!! At Capoeira Dance and Fitnesses in Long Beach you will learn the Capoeira culture, language, dance and best of all; you will get a hardcore, out of this world workout! If you don't know Capoeira, think of it as a mix between Jiu jitsu and acrobatics; trust me you will discover muscles that you had no idea that they existed. You will be doing Handstands, cartwheels, Spider-Man runs, kicks, and anything to do with using your own body weight. Zach is a great instructor, he teaches my 5 year old class, and I take the adult classes. Is a nice, friendly, welcoming environment; I highly recommended everyone to try this place.
