I was hoping I was able to get the medical treatment I needed in preventing from my knee dislocating for a 3rd time but I got the complete opposite. From seeing him within a month apart of just check ups, being told at my FIRST VISIT at the end of MAY, that surgery is going to be the plan and to do PT for a month to get me strong before the operation and that I would see him in a month to schedule to then being told at my SECOND VISIT at the end of JUNE, that he does not recall telling me he was going to do surgery and that PT should fix it and his rule is "3 dislocations is usually when I will go in then and operate". I tore my meniscus and went to Dr. McKenzie for my second opinion. He was clear and straight to the point which I appreciated. He actually took the time to show me on the model where my injury was and why I was still experiencing some lingering pain. He also showed me on the MRI were the injury was, all the things that my previous orthopedic surgeon did not do. He even gave me printed out information regarding the surgery and after care for me to read and consider before making any decisions. I continued my surgery and recovery with him as my doctor. Dr. McKenzie is the most dedicated physician I have ever met. I had to have hip replacement surgery and I was amazed how well everything turned out. He explained everything that would happen. I went in early Monday morning and was able to go home that evening. If I ever have the need for more orthopedic work I would definitely go back to him. Thank you Dr. McKenzie!
