Amy's Natural Spa is first rate by any account. I've had plenty of experience with facials, massage and mani-pedi in New York and San Francisco and let me tell you this: Amy's better than Bliss when it was one of the best in NYC. First thing about Amy is that she has a magic touch. The moment she lays hands on you -- whether to massage, or clean your skin, or tend to your nails -- your entire body relaxes. It's the touch of deeply caring while knowing exactly what to do. As someone with a dance background I am very sensitive to "knowledgeable " hands -- and Amy's got 'em. Second: she never cuts corners in the time or service she gives you. She is never in a rush and she does not let a moment go to waste -- e.g. while there's a mask on your face she massages your neck; while she's steaming your skin she gives your feet and arms a relaxing rub; etc. Third: the effects of what she does last much longer than others I've experienced. You know how a lot of the times the day after you get a massage you can barely remember it? Or how the next day after a facial it barely shows? Not with Amy. The effects stay with you. And I don't know how she manages it but the polish after her manicures last at least twice longer than anybody else's. And then you have the sunny and tastefully decorated salon with a view of Mount Tamalpais... I just don't know how you can beat the combination!
