I AM GOING TO RELAY MY EXPERIENCE AT THIS SO CALLED MEDICAL CARE CENTER FOR ALL WHO WISH TO AVOID BEING RIPPED OFF... Last year I had a very scary problem with sudden hearing loss in one ear. I am not someone who has many health issues and had no regular physician to go to so ended up at the emercency room to see just how dangerous an ear problem I might have, considering the terrible symptoms of pain and hearing loss. I was told at the ER that I had a rare symptom, not often seen there, they gave me the usual antibiotics and said to have it looked at further. FURTHER...a few days pass and I decide to try this so called "Medical Center" at 10th St. West, in Lancaster. After waiting over two hours with my young daughter and a friend who would watch her for me while I was in office... in thier waiting area, they told me to come inside...I had already briefed the office staff as to my disturbing ear condition, and they seemed quite happy to have me wait and pay to be seen by thier doctors. I waited about five minutes more and the doctor arrived. She asked about the problem...I explained that my ear had red speckles and I was experiencing hearing loss and basically needed to know anything I could find out about it. She stepped back, leaned on the counter and laughed uproarously, saying that they did not treat ears there, and that I should go to High Desert Medical Center....needless to say I was a bit vexed at her statement and attitude...but this is natural in California, happens all the time here...people can be very offputting. I believe I was somewhat in shock...just sat staring at her...she walks over and says well let me have a look anyway. Looks inside says yes there are red specks all over your eardrum. And says that I should go to High Desert for treatment. She then leaves the room...it was over. I left and had a few choice words for the office people who had let me wait for two hours to meet this incompetant shrew...and be laughed at by a doctor. I believe she was Russian...not that I am biased but if you find yourself having to go there...beware the Nihilist's behind these closed doors. I didnt want to give this place even the one star...they deserve NOTHING...as nihilists do. And YES there oughta be a Law against such "medical" practices. ;~})
