I love Kaiser. I retired and we were looking to move to Nevada. Since they do not have Kaiser there, we ended up staying here in hopes that maybe Kaiser will get to Nevada. How many health care providers have you had to wait an hour or two just to be seen? I have never waited more than 5 min-not even that long. I can get lab work, x-rays, glasses, prescriptions, and primary care in one facility! If you ever had to go to CVS, their pharmacy wait time is no better. Sure, I may have to see another doctor if I'm ill, but most doctor offices are the same-you need to see a PA or other doctor if you want an appointment the same day you call. I use the mail order system for my prescriptions so I don't have to wait in line. If I receive a new prescription, i never had to wait for more than 30 minutes . I have never had any problems in the five years of going to Kaiser with any person I've dealt with-whether lab, pharmacy, or physician offices. I have only found people there to be courteous and kind. I guess I have been extremely lucky but I really don't think luck has anything to do with it.

Hard to get appointments to see your doctor when you are sick. You have to rely on phone calls and virtual visits mostly. The Kaiser pharmacy is okay except the fact that you have to wait 1 1/2 hours or longer to get your prescription even though you check in online and it says 1/2 hour they still make you stand in line to check in again. This is why Kaiser only gets a three star rating from me.

We have enjoyed coming here for our infant's well baby visits. It's convenient that the lab and other specialties are located here, too. The past few visits, we have waited a long time as they have been running behind, which is rough. But completely understandable and they still provide a great quality of care and are kind even though the medical staff are all likely very stressed. So make sure to bring snacks and toys and anything else to keep your little one calm and yourself sane! We always arrive early, too. I absolutely love Doctor Pourdavoud! She is kind, respectful, positive, thorough, a good listener, and just about every other complimentary adjective imaginable. I'm pretty sure she was raised by faeries!! I hope we never have to switch pediatricians. I was almost hesitant to post about her because I don't want y'all taking up all her free appointments! Lol. But all the docs we have seen here when she's unavailable, and the Nurses seen during nurse visits, are terrific. I am so grateful my husband's work provides Kaiser insurance. Oh but a word to the wise and especially women travelling alone: The parking lot here is open to the public and therefore pretty sketchy sometimes. I had an experience once where I was followed, in broad daylight, even while making several turns and detours. I went back into the building and told the front ladies and they helpfully called their on-site security person. :)
