My review is based on my first visit at Shear Rhythm with Cecilia, stylist and colorist. This place is tucked away, but if you're heading towards some stairways, you're going the right direction! I found this salon through Living Social with the deal for $49 for a cut, color, and style. I also added highlights to the lower part of my hair for additional $20. Deal!

The salon itself is tiny, but it has all the essentials needed for a great cut. Salon Rhythm has five stylist, but I think they average about 2-3 stylists a day depending on the time. Since I'm a new customer for Cecilia, I can tell she's feeling me out on what kind of customer I am...picky, wild, experimental? As she examined my hair, I told her what I was looking for today. She gave a little input, but not pushy with her thoughts. Here's the low down: Highlights added in foil, layered Colors comes in to the rest of my hair with the foils intact I was asked to sit in the drying station without actually using the dryer for my hair Time passed Got my color washed out Shampoo and Conditioned (cringe, I hate shampoo that foams) My hair then gets snipped away Blow dry and Style Overall, the whole procedure took 1hr and 45mins. I am satisfied with my cut, color, and highlights. What I like most about my experience was that Cecilia took care of me from beginning to end...I really hate it when I make an appointment with a stylist, but end up being taken care of by 3 different stylists with my main stylist giving directions, boo! I would say my cut was simple, so I didn't get to challenge Cecilia's skills. I would love to come back and see what else Cecilia can do with my hair! Thank you Cecilia, you did an amazing job with my color and highlights! Wonder if my friends will notice the change, we shall see...cheers!
