About Norwalk Coin Laundry
Norwalk Coin Laundry offers a range of washing machines, including 20lb, 30lb, and 40lb options, with prices from $3.50 to $5.75. Larger family washers typically cost $7 to $9. The dryers operate at $0.25 for 8 minutes, with the option to add more time by inserting additional quarters. The facility is generally clean and well-maintained, with large dryers and a vending machine for convenience. Customers appreciate that machines work quickly and efficiently, and staff are usually present to assist. Some reviews mention that the machines are old and may be hard to operate for first-timers. The laundromat closes at 9:00 pm, not 9:30 pm, so visitors should plan accordingly. Additional services like fold service are available. Overall, it is a typical coin laundry with a comfortable environment, including a TV, but it is not particularly remarkable.
Clean facility and has many amenities like a bathroom, change machine, vending machines. If you need to sit down, there’s a massage chair that you pay for but otherwise you’d have to bring your own chair.
A hand washing sink is available outside the bathroom.
An A/C system was on during my visit, which helps a lot in the summer heat.
Wash cycle prices as of July 2026:
(These go from smallest to largest machines)
3.75, 4.50, 6, 7, 8, 9 dollars.
Dryer cycles are 25 cents for 8 minutes minimum.
Soap, bleach, and softeners go for one dollar in quarters, each.
There are not many coin laundries maybe this is the reason why the place is mediocre. A lot of machines are very old and if it’s your first time, you may have a hard time of using some of the machines.
If youve been to one laundry mat youve kinda been to them all? Theres nothing particularly great or horrible about this place the same way theres nothing particularly great or horrible about any laundry mat ever. Its just a laundry mat.
Im sort of just posting this review to let anyone who is reading this know that this laundry mat closes at 9pm not at 9:30pm. The business closes 30 minutes early to clean and I was told by the worker that there are alarms and sensors that are timed at a specific time. So plan your visit accordingly.
