I sat in their waiting area so as to not disturb them and patiently waited to speak with them, and the person whom I first spoke with was so extremely rude, unbelievably so, and this short interaction wasn't even 15 seconds.Thanks.
New Life Ministires Marriage Intensive got my wife and I's marriage off life support. We were at the end of our ropes ready to quit on our relationship. As a last resort we decided to attend their weekend marriage intensive and miracles happened. Several years later we are happily STILL married in large part to the life changing events that took place that weekend during both the instructional sessions as well as the small group therapy exercises and explorations we shared there with several other couples struggling in their marriages. We have since been regular donors to this ministry that so powerfully comes alongside so many throughout the country. And we are regular listeners to their daily podcast. If you want to grow in relationship and in your spiritual journey, highly-highly recommend getting involved with this loving, caring group of supportive and informative people that want to do everything possible to help you grow in emotional and relational health.
What a joke! Unless you are ready to go into debt for your mental wellbeing (which is NOT biblical), New Life therapists charge a minimum $140/hr AND they do not take insurance nor offer a sliding scale! And have you seen the prices for their intensive programs? Every single call on their New Life Live show has one of the counselors suggesting the caller needs to get into counseling but how can the average person afford their rates for ongoing appointments?! Shame on you for giving desperate and hurting people that listen to your show such false hope! If you all were truly about "helping and healing," your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, you would make your services more financially attainable for all income levels. Stop using your God-given gifts and knowledge to line your pockets! Phairsees! You have left a bad taste in my mouth about your ministry. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
