Compassionate care! Our first visit to Petra Pet Clinic was when it became necessary to put our ailing 17 yr old cat to sleep. The staff thoughtfully prepare for our appointment with a clean towel and absorbent pad on the cold stainless steel examination table. We and our cat were treated with empathy, gentleness and patience. A few days later we received a card with meaningful messages of caring written by each of the staff. Our experience with their care has been helpful in processing our grief and loss. We are grateful.

We have taken our pets there for about 8 yrs. He loves animals and takes time with you when you have questions. He will give you a choice of what he can do if you cannot spend the amount of everything. We usually will get the medicine. We are retired so the funds are short. We also love , "The office cat!"

I took my seven year old Shih Tzu mix to Petra Pet for what I thought was something under his eyelid. Dr. Kim examined Edward Clayton and didn't find anything in the eye. (Another vet had diagnosed him as having conjunctivitis - but after two weeks of medication, he still had a very red eye.) Dr. Kim did bloodwork and found very high cortisol levels and high cholesterol. He suggested having an abdominal ultrasound since Eddie's symptoms were sometimes indicative of cancer. Long story short, because of Dr. Kim's thorough evaluation and care, Eddie is alive today. Eddie did have adrenal gland cancer. He also had very high blood pressure.
