Kingsburgs Laundry Room is a clean laundromat where there is pride in ownership. The machines are always working well and problems are addressed right away, though some broken machines eat money and do nothing. A bottom dryer and the one next to it have no heat, and some dryers were out of order. The owner adjusted the dryer temperature, so most items require much more time and money, needing multiple cycles to get clothes dry. The place used to be clean with no problems. It can get busy early in the morning. The location is loved, right next to the park and within easy walking distance to cute shops and places to grab something to eat, like a nearby bakery.
The doors automatically lock before the posted closing time, so the hours need to be changed. After 9 o'clock, the music turns off and it gets very creepy. Contacting the owner can be difficult, with calls not being answered. There is a need for someone to do a better job of cleaning the soap areas of the machines to remove gunk. Sadly, people do not clean up after themselves. It remains the only place in town to do laundry for large loads, so customers hope others will help keep it clean. Many will use this place if need be, especially because it is close to home.
I was very happy with the place. It's small, but somewhat clean, and in a safe location.
The floors do start getting messy quickly when a bunch of people start coming in, so I would suggest maybe leaving a broom and dust pan in a corner for anybody (people like me that enjoy a clean area and are willing to clean up) to use.
Just a heads up though, there is no seating areas.
I drive over to this laundromat because it's so much cleaner than the ones where I live. There's pride in ownership here ... machines are always working well and if there's a problem it's addressed right away. Love the location too! Right next to the park where I sit outside and read. You can also easily walk to some cute shops or places to grab something to eat!!
I came in today to do a load of rugs at 6:30 am, and the place was already busy, so, I ended up using one of the empty bigger washers. Almost all the dryers were being occupied, along with a few that were out of order. So, once my washer began, I walked over to Bella Bakery to get a cup of coffee and maybe a baked item. I ended up with a scone and a slice of the chorizo quiche. I walked back to the Laundry Room and proceeded to wait for the machine to do its cycle. I finished my food and then proceeded to take my rugs and put them in a dryer. I put in a few $$$ and put the temperature on high and had about 45 minutes to wait. After a while, I checked my items and noticed… read full review
