About Swift Transportation - Jurupa Valley Terminal
Swift Transportation's Jurupa Valley Terminal offers an excellent training program, including hotel accommodation and a monthly payment plan for the associated costs. However, some areas for improvement have been noted, such as the parking design, which can be challenging for new drivers due to narrow aisles and blind spots. The facility can get crowded, and the shower and laundry facilities are described as insufficient for the amount of traffic. The staff and building are reported as nice, and safety is emphasized for drivers. After six months of employment, any remaining training balance is wiped clean and a bonus is given. Fueling can also be problematic.
Been running loads and picking up trainees from Jurupa for years...but this particular reset was just a little different. I want to give a shout out to Jack the Terminal Mgr, for going above and beyond this past Friday and provide me the ability to make it to a very important appointment. Appreciate what you did for me!
Besides sleeping in my truck that got hit by another driver that took out the front of my truck snd had to have a loaner for a month and a half without my stuff was great. (Sarcastically). All because I was told that I had to get one and not get my stuff from my regular truck.
This terminal is great besides the over enforcement of a pointless policy of needing to have a trailer to get one. I wasted an entire work day trailer hunting before a planner decided to pull some strings and allowing me to get an empty trailer.
Edit: I figured out later the trailer policy is about getting a tax break. As I’m not the biggest fan of CA i would want to minimize the money i have to give the state as well. 5stars
