Both times we came here, we got the acupressure massage, which is 55 minutes, and it comes with spa admission ($40 value) which I feel is worth it. Essentially, your massage is $85! You pay for your experience, and they give you a locker key and a pair of shirt and shorts (pink for women, don't remember exactly the color for men whether blue or black). When you first enter, you take your shoes off at the first locker room based on your key number. I was a little put off by the reviews mentioning this place being crowded and hesitant to try it. But I decided to check it out myself. I went to Irvine Spa on a Tuesday around noon. Admission is 40 dollars and I scheduled a body scrub for 70 dollars. I've been going to the Korean spa in Ktown for years so I had something I can compare to. First I love how this place separates shoes storage area with the changing area. The floor inside the lady's changing area is a lot cleaner than I expected. Visited yesterday. Facilities are nice, but the spa lighting is very annoyingly bright. It seems as though you are in an interrogation room instead of a soothing spa/relaxation environment. The lights in the mens spa, sauna, and steam should be a lot dimmer so as to not blind the guests with the harshness which is there now. Also, they need to add more lounge chairs and towel hooks so men don't leave their towels on the handrails for the jacuzzi, or on the floor which is the current practice, which is very sloppy. They could also add a lot or even some, plants to make the environment more relaxing as well. Many plants would thrive in the spa area given the humidity... read full review
