I came in after getting what felt like a botched haircut somewhere else—it left me feeling unsure and honestly a little panicked about the results. I know this salon doesn’t typically take walk-ins, and when the stylist kindly asked if I wanted to make an appointment, I told her I was probably just going to try a walk-in place to get my haircut evened out.

What happened next honestly meant so much to me. Without hesitation, this kind soul (whose name I didn’t catch—something I regret) offered to take a look at my hair. She checked it, saw there was a little unevenness, and fixed it right then and there. And she didn’t charge me.

It completely threw me off—in the best way. I even spent a little time afterward feeling weird because I didn’t want her to think I took her services for granted. She gave me peace of mind. She gave me back that feeling of being okay with my reflection again, and that meant so much more than I could’ve expected walking into a salon without an appointment.
