The woman ( can’t remember her name) was informative and knowledgeable about what needed to be covered for our reverse mortgage. It only took around 45 minutes and we were pleased with the information she gave us.
Counselor was informative and helpful. My only criticism was that the online course was a bit long winded and bland. A ton of information thrown at you. Can be intimidating for some.
If you're struggling financially and considering bankruptcy, they offer the counseling courses required by bankruptcy courts PLUS live financial coaching over the phone. The fee for these services is already pretty low because they're a non-profit group, but if your income meets certain requirements (i.e. you're so poor that even the federal government doesn't expect you to pay your bills) then they will waive the fees for you. Their representatives are knowledgeable and seems like their only goal is to give you the right information you need in order to make better financial decisions to improve your situation.
