“My teen son desperately needed a haircut, but because he has shoulder-length hair that he wants to keep long, he's not a barber shop kind of guy. When son finally agreed to a trim, I googled for a reasonably priced salon in Healdsburg with an available appointment and online booking. I found Jennifer Cadd and her salon, Vanity. Jennifer gave my reluctant teenager a great haircut that he really likes! She asked questions about what he wanted and absolutely delivered what he asked for. My kid has basically never been happy with a haircut, and this was the first time he got the cut he wanted. Vanity is a quiet, comfortable salon with reasonably priced services and plenty of parking, which makes it kind of a unicorn in Healdsburg. Plus, Jennifer is the *nicest* person, and she somehow made both my son and I feel comfortable immediately. We'll be regular customers going forward--I'm really happy we found Vanity!“

“If Shirley temple curls are what you are looking for you have come to the wrong place (unless you're a child). My gf and I came here to get our hair done before a wedding and let me tell you about our experience. Our service was prompt, thorough, and we had a great time. They weren't able to see us at the same time, but they were able to provide us with back to back appointments. We brought our own champagne, but weren't sure if this was allowed. It wasn't just allowed, but it was encouraged. Our hair stylist truly curated our blowouts to our specific desires. We did not have endless ringlets, but our hair had volume with an elegant appeal. We were both thrilled with the end result. This salon is locally owned and the staff beyond friendly with many years of experience. I would come back here for any future events.“

“For my son's wedding, the highly competent Shelby created a curled high ponytail for the rehearsal dinner, and formal makeup and an updo for the wedding. The ponytail was playful and had great movement. The makeup was appropriately dramatic for photographs without being excessive. The updo was sleek, sophisticated, and more formal. Shelby is professional, experienced, a good collaborator, a great listener and communicator. I felt beautiful throughout the festivities with Shelby's excellent styling.Services: Blowouts“

“Bianca did an excellent job with my hair. I showed her a few pictures and she got it exactly the way I wanted, and she made sure to check in about length and volume as she was cutting.It can be intimidating for men sometimes going into a salon because we're not as chatty as women. But at Brush I did not feel out of place. From the cappuccino I was given to the gentle head massage while washing my hair they made an environment where it was easy to relax, and Bianca was great with letting the conversation lapse at times - in general, women relax with talking and men relax with silence, so this was very appreciated. That's not to say we didn't talk at all - Bianca, I hope you achieve your lavender farmgirl dreams! I've been to other Aveda salons and it's clear that their stylists are all very well trained, and Brush is no exception. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.“
