Almitas Dance Academy, founded in 2023 in Southbay, shares a passion for dance, culture, and community, striving to promote Mexican folklore. It offers beginner-friendly classes for ages three and up, from beginning friendly to advanced, along with adult classes, summer camps, and space for rent and celebrations like birthdays. The academy provides a fantastic and amazing experience. Instructors are very knowledgeable, nice, and have patience to teach. They are described as helpful, patient, supportive, kind, caring, and dedicated, creating a smooth and comforting transition for beginners. The owner is very smart, lovable, friendly, chill, and patient, with a passion for teaching that exceeds expectations and a joy for serving families. The environment is nurturing, stimulating, fun, and enriching, with activities including exciting field trips, creative arts and crafts, and hands-on learning projects. Students are engaged, happy, and excited, feeling part of the team. The academy is highly recommended for having a good time and learning Folklorico and Salsa in a supportive community.
I hosted my birthday at Almita’s Dance Academy. My guests and I loved the experience! Nancy was so communicative and friendly throughout the planning of it. She helped me make a private paint party happen and really went above and beyond to make it great :)
My daughter has been with @almitas dance academy since 2024 …. She loves it and will continue dancing. As a mother I love it and joined the adult dance class. The instructors are very knowledgeable, nice and have patience to teach.

We had a fantastic experience with the Summer Camp led by Ms. Nancy! Our 3 year-old son had an amazing time, learned so much, and grew in so many ways. A huge thank you to her and Ms. Louise for their kindness, care, and dedication.
As it was his first time away from us, he had some separation anxiety, but the teachers were so helpful, patient, and supportive, they made the transition smooth and comforting for both him and us.
