I got married on Sept. 28 and Amir did an amazing job with my hair! When I was searching for a hair stylist in Gualala, CA, I was quite limited in the individuals willing to do wedding hair. A few were unavailable but most were not doing wedding hair any more for one reason or another. When I called Rumors, Amir picked up the phone and immediately said he would love to do my hair for my wedding. Off to a great start!
We visited Amir about a month prior to the wedding to do a trial run. I showed him some of my ideas and he expressed it would be super easy to do. He also suggested doing some highlights to make my hair look “sun kissed” which we ended up spending most of the trial doing. They turned out great! Later, when I told him my hair was feeling dry due to the highlights, he gave me specialized shampoo and conditioner to help heal my hair as a wedding present. So kind and generous!
The day of the wedding comes and he shows up ready to get to work. He was fun and expressive when he worked on 2 of my bridesmaids and myself. He worked with each of our needs and types of hair with ease and experience. My hair was incredible and exactly what I wanted, a messy, casual bun that had grace! Plus, now here’s the best part, it was COMFORTABLE! He used a bunch of bobby-pins but it didn’t hurt at all! Even after 8 hours of wedding and dancing and my hair felt amazing! I don’t know how he did it but I was very impressed that he was able to make that type of up-do feel good. Amazing work!
He was willing to drive to our hotel (St. Orres) as well as go to the venue to do my husband’s hair. He even did a great job with my husband’s hair and made him look so handsome!

Absolutely fabulous treatment, caring ambiance. Katherine is multitalented and loves to educate you. I have come to her for facials, waxing, massage, mani-pedis and product advice. She is amazingly strong, yet gentle as needed. She has a fine touch on delicate skin. Full of information, always interesting and helpful. I feel invigorated after her treatments (but it's still nice to go home for a nap after!). Prices very reasonable. Salon very homey with lovely rugs and hangings.
I've been going to Healing Arts for many years anytime I visit the coast. Jasmine gave me a beautiful facial and my skin looked amazing when she was done. Kim gave me an outstanding massage, she is so talented and intuitive. Healing Arts is a wonderful, healing space! It is well worth a visit!

This is a "one man show" so he has way more call for his expertise. Very knowledgable , just takes a while to get the repairs.
