I stumbled upon Stephen's practice about six months after spraining my jaw and suffering from whiplash. I had not been able to sleep without neck pain, headaches, numbness in my hands, etc for a couple of months. I was desperate for some ease. After my first session (which did not directly work on my injuries) I felt relief. I proceeded to do the series and learn what Rolfing is all about and I'm sold. I have been able to sleep ever since, pain and numbness free. I will continue to go back to Stephen to both work on my injuries as well as just get more deep healing body work. When I'm broken he fixes me. It's nice to talk to Stephen but otherwise, It isn't always the most pleasurable experience. However, the results, I can't argue with. My knee has been out for a month and I finally called Stephen, and a day later the pain is gone.

My 10 series with Stephen opened mobility in my body I hadn't even realized I lost. The benefit was palpable from the first session - I felt I was inhaling 20% more air just from all the "cobwebs" being removed from my ribcage. The work permeated not only body but also mind. Following sessions working in my hips and psoas I found myself dreaming alternate interpretations of past emotional traumas - I was not expecting the work to go so deep.
