“Today marks 4 days post‑op following what I consider—especially at age 67—a complex and high‑risk procedure: a full bilateral capsulectomy with a ruptured silicone implant and breast lift (no replacement). The original silicone gel implants were placed in 2004 by a different surgeon and I had capsular contraction for over 10 years--doing nothing about it until an ultrasound in 2025 discovered the leak (not typically discoverable with mamogram).
I've worked in the internet business since the 90's so I’m accustomed to researching thoroughly. I spent significant time reviewing the procedure itself, comparing surgeons, and reading extensive patient experiences. After all that research, Dr. Lattyak stood out clearly as the best choice. Given the rupture, there were real concerns that silicone could have migrated or adhered to surrounding areas such as the ribs. Dr. Lattyak’s precision, expertise, and clear explanation of how these risks would be handled gave me complete confidence. (I was fortunate not to have had any such migration--Dr. Lattyak skillfully removed all the material that was contained inside the capsule.) I had no fear going into surgery—my trust remained absolute right up to the moment the exceptional Grass Valley Surgical team began general anesthesia.
My recovery has exceeded expectations. I required prescription pain medication only on the first day (and even then, just half the dose). Days 2 and 3 were managed with Tylenol, and I have now had a full 24 hour day without any pain medication at all. That alone speaks volumes about the surgical skill involved.
I am grateful not only for his expertise but also for the professionalism and care shown by his entire office and surgical staff. I plan to update this review as healing progresses, but even at this early stage, I felt it was important to share how outstanding this experience has been.”
