Boarding On The Lake provides a wonderful horseback riding experience with a knowledgeable and friendly guide, Marina. The horses are gentle, and the scenic park around Lake Folsom offers breathtaking views during the 2-hour trail ride. Visitors praise the well-trained horses and the beautiful trail along Folsom Lake, which is perfect for all riding levels. The trails are safe, interesting, and include uphill and downhill sections that add to the enjoyment. Many guests appreciate the clear instructions and helpful hints from the guide, making the ride suitable even for first-time riders. The facility also cares well for the horses. Although the water level was low during some visits, guests are excited to return when the lake is fuller, and they enjoy the opportunity for a memorable outing with family or friends at this lovely location.
They were ready for us when we got there. The horses were easy to ride. The trail was beautiful, a lot of it by the beautiful Folsom lake shore. Our guide Marina was great and she took many pictures and videos of us while riding. All and all, a fun ride.
This was my second time riding with Boarding on the Lake, and once again I had an amazing experience! Everyone is so friendly and genuinely cares that every rider has a great time, whether you're a beginner or more experienced.
One thing I especially love is that they take so many photos and videos of you during the ride and send them to you afterward. Having those memories to look back on is so special and such a thoughtful touch!
The trail along the lake is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views the entire ride. I can't recommend Boarding on the Lake enough and will definitely be coming back again!
I’ve ridden here three times now and really enjoyed the experience each time. Marina is great. She definitely enforces safety rules, but she does it with practical riding advice that actually helps, like reminding riders about posture, balance, and keeping your knees in instead of just repeating rules nonstop.
As someone who has been riding for a while, I appreciated that approach a lot more because it felt educational and natural instead of stressful.
