About Boarding On The Lake
Boarding On The Lake provides a wonderful horseback riding experience with a knowledgeable and friendly guide, Marina. The horses are gentle, and the scenic park around Lake Folsom offers breathtaking views during the 2-hour trail ride. Visitors praise the well-trained horses and the beautiful trail along Folsom Lake, which is perfect for all riding levels. The trails are safe, interesting, and include uphill and downhill sections that add to the enjoyment. Many guests appreciate the clear instructions and helpful hints from the guide, making the ride suitable even for first-time riders. The facility also cares well for the horses. Although the water level was low during some visits, guests are excited to return when the lake is fuller, and they enjoy the opportunity for a memorable outing with family or friends at this lovely location.
Best trail ride ever! Abe was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. The horses are beautiful and well trained. The trail alongside Folsom Lake was just perfect! Loved the doggies too ❤️ Definitely recommend!
Best trail ride around! Nothing beats riding through the trees and down to beautiful Folsom Lake! And it is 2 hours! Most places only offer an hour. My son who is an experienced equestrian loves this ride ( has been on it quite a few times) and this time we took a friend that had never been on a horse in his life and he loved it! I recommend this ride highly for anyone as the horse are gentle and the guides are amazing. 🤩
My wife and I did a 2 hour trail ride with Marina and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She gave us clear instructions on what to do and expect before we started the ride, and she came along each of the 5 riders in our group to give helpful hints along the way. The views were great of Folsom Lake and the uphill and downhill trails were challenging enough for us to enjoy that aspect too. Because the water was low in the lake, we missed getting to ride in the water which disappointed me, but not enough to lower my 5 start rating. I look forward to coming back next spring when the lake is near full.
