I went here (seeing Dr. Jong) for about 6 years and I always felt like I was viewed as a person , and not like cattle herded through. Dr Jong is caring and I always left feeling like she had really examined my skin . A few years ago I decided to find a male dermatologist. I had no idea how high a bar Dr Jong set. In the last 4 years I've seen 3 different dermatologists. Each time I did a lot of research before selecting a Dr to try. Each dr left me very unsatisfied. I decided to read FD reviews before trying to get back in to see if any issues had popped up. A few reviews complained about not being able to be seen in a reasonable period of time when they had serious concern about skin problems. That made me hesitate a little, but decided to try to schedule an appointment anyway.Sure enough, the next available appointment was 6 months away. But the receptionist made sure to ask if I had any areas of concern, and that if I did she'd try to get me in sooner. But I don't. I just want my skin checked regularly because I've had Basel Cell Carcinoma a couple times, and my mom and aunt have had Basel cell and squamous cell; and I got terrible sun burns every year when I was growing up (it was just an annual consequence of switching from pants and shirts to shorts and going barefoot all summer). So FD is aware of the problem and are trying to do something about people who have an urgent case trying to get in.I was glad that I was able to get an appointment even though it's been 4 years since I've been there. I feel SO relieved.

I've been going to Dr Patti Satterfield for years. It's hard to get an appointment with her, even as a returning patient, but well worth it. So plan ahead. Very professional, kind and knowledgeable. Office staff is great too.

Dr Jong and staff are AAA. As for the cosmetic part of her practice, she is never going to suggest a procedure that she does not completely believe will help you - regardless of the fees for her. If you get Botox, she will do the minimum she thinks would work and then have you come back in a couple of weeks to see if you really do need any more units. On the screening side she is 100% thorough and her Board Certification is apparent in her approach. We just moved here from NYC where we had access to some of the very top practitioners and she is absolutely in that class in my opinion.
