I just drove to Dixon and found that a business across the street from Schmidt's Cabinets was closed. As I was making a note in my smartphone to post to Yelp that it was closed I saw Schmidt's and while I'm logged in I thought I would post that Eric Cawley the owner of Schmidt's personally came to our house last year to talk to us about our custom cabinets and that they looked great and were finished and installed on time.

I have used Schmidt's Cabinet's twice for small jobs. A few years ago they modified the cabinets above the microwave to fit a new GE cafe microwave that kept shorting out because it was hanging too low. They ordered two new cabinet front doors, stained to match the existing cabinetry (nice match!), rebuilt the cabinet, and reinstalled the microwave. I called a number of cabinet shops back then and this is why they were great and stood out from the rest: 1) they answered the phone/called back and 2) instantly understood the modification I was requesting. I just used them again to repair a cabinet door that snapped in two - I expected another new door but instead... read full review
