Sacramento Valley National Cemetery

Upon entering the sacred gates of this pristine beauty, we were overcome with emotion. Aside from the fact that we were burying our own loved one, it’s also reverence for all the other heroes formerly laid to rest.

The day of our Dad’s service was a tranquil one, aided by the notable guidance of Dave Pimentel, who patiently worked with us in advance, Marco Barajas and the Navy Honor Guard. A beautiful ceremony was provided for my husband and went above my expectations. All of the staff were so helpful and respectful of guests. I was a bit worried about the logistics, but they walked us through everything in such a timely way from the decorations through the ceremony. The honor guard was a joy to watch and are to be commended for their time and expertise. A very lovely day to honor my husband’s service . Everything is beautifully maintained and I look forward to visiting again.
