“We brought our beloved dog Basil here for acupuncture and holistic care when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Due to the nature and location of his cancer, other treatment options were not available to him and we were hoping to make his remaining time with us as happy and healthy as possible. We wanted to give him as many good days as we could. We could not have asked for better care or kinder care givers. Basil was always anxious and scared at the vet, but not at CIAM. I could tell he felt safe and relaxed with Dr. Yamate and at peace in the office. They gave him their very best for his last few months. And when it was time to say goodbye, not only did Dr. Yamate take my personal phone calls after hours to walk me through the painful process, but she helped us decide when he was no longer well enough to continue at home under our care. I will be forever grateful that we got to bring him to a place where he was loved and felt at peace for his final moments. It was evident how much every staff member loved our dog, even though we were only with them for a short time. He was so cared for, and we were so cared for through every step of the process. “Dr. Martin is a very special person but she’s also a one of a kind vet. She not only cares about the animals but their people, on a level that I have not experienced before. I came to her for cancer treatment for my cat Cookie and her approach to treatment was amazing. She combines diet/nutrition,eastern Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbs) and western medicine. My favorite part about my experience with her is the way she educates her clients. She take the time to explain how everything works and why which was beyond helpful and allowed me to help Cookie even more. Her prices are also very reasonable. She gave me more time with my sweet girl and helped her pass peacefully at my home when it was time. I can not recommend her enough. We went to 4 different vet hospitals before finding her, including UC Davis, none of them could help the way she did. I have been telling everyone about her and I will do my best to spread the word. “If I could give 7 stars I would. I am a high anxiety dog mama as it is so she. It comes to my fur baby being sick or injured, good luck keeping me calm. Usually my boyfriend handles the vet visits but he was working so this was on me. I called last minute praying I could get my sweet girl in to see Dr Singh and somehow they made it happen day of. Esperanza and Melanie were sweet, patient, and put up with my antics and anxiety. I really couldn't as for a better veterinary practice to take care of our baby.
