87th Street Laundromat

Haven't used a laundromat in...well....forever. This place is fantastic. Kind, helpful staff, nice customers, super clean, different sized machines. Once you figure yourself out and what buttons to push, its all pretty easy to use. Would highly recommend for anyone that doesn't have access to a laundry machine, either just for a week or always.

This laundromat is good for having long hours of operation, different sized machines, and card operated machines.I like doing early morning laundry, and when arriving, I do not have to wait for machines to open up. There are plenty of parking spaces and the facilities are clean.Even when I did have an issue with a machine, thinking my clothes were going to be stuck in the machine for a long time, other regular customers were kind and helpful in giving me information to "fix it" since there was no attendant to ask for assistance.

The dryer machines have some rust in them so the machines themselves are definitely not as new as the ones at Clean X-Press. But, their dryer is stronger so you don't need to wait as long for clothes to be dry. With low and medium heat, I put in 49 minutes and it was more than enough. The dryer here is definitely stronger and more efficient. The floors aren't new, but the staff there is SO consistently hard working. I was there on & off for around 2 hours since the washer/dryer at my place broke, and the 1 employee was cleaning out every single machine, making sure they work, emptying the trash cans, etc. I saw him do SO MUCH today as I was waiting for the rest of my...read full review
