To bring our older kitchen and master bathroom up to modern safety standards, we had this team update our wet-area receptacles. The technician swapped our old plugs for modern moisture-sensing units that automatically cut power instantly if an imbalance is detected. He tested each device thoroughly and explained how the reset mechanisms function.
The plug next to our computer desk was physically hot to the touch even when nothing was plugged into it. The tech pulled the unit out and discovered the original builders had back-stabbed the wires, causing a loose, high-resistance connection. He rewired it properly using the side screws for a perfectly secure fit. I'm incredibly grateful he fixed it before it caused a fire.
We had an older home that required the replacement of whole house wiring. The electricians changed the broken wires and fixed all connections. Everything is functional at this time.
