I'm considered tech-savvy and worked at a tech company, replacing MacBook batteries, cleaning system junk, etc... Recently my 2017 MacBook Pro died. Tried everything, but no power, no charge, nada. Took it to Mac Help OC late yesterday. Matt was very kind and prompt, and he fixed it the next morning. I would never figure out what he found and how he fixed it. Highly recommend Mac Help OC if you have any issues with your Mac or iPhone. Don't give up with your old one.
Although Matt was unable to fix my computer, he showed me concern and caring, had excellent followup, and a prompt analysis of my computer issue without promising me the moon just to make a few bucks. He is honest and the real deal if you are looking for a Mac tech.
I tried changing out an old and slow SATA hard drive on my iMac, 17 to put in a SSD drive, and turns out it was a little more difficult than the videos makes it look. The cable connections are very delicate. I damaged the video port cable trying to put it back together. I called Mac Help to see if they could make the repair for me and put it back together again if I got a new cable. I git good information on the phone about getting the right replacement cable and after getting a cable I took the computer in today and it's up and running again even though I also did a little damage to the connection on the motherboard which they fixed. I give 5 stars for any product or service that I would buy again or use again. I would definitely use Mac Help instead of trying to do this kind of upgrade again. Not worth the DIY risk and the price for the service was very reasonable.
