I have gotten my hair cut in Japan before, and I have always felt that Japanese stylists have a unique skill in cutting Asian hair. I am so happy to find this hidden gem in Costa Mesa and to have Yoshiko as my stylist :) She is professional, precise, and with an eye for detail that makes the cut look effortless yet perfectly styled. Yoshiko really understands how to shape and layer Asian hair so it looks natural and easy to manage. The salon itself is warm and chic. I highly recommend Yoshiko to anyone looking for an exceptional haircut experience! (Book ahead of time online or by phone as their schedule can get busy - appointments preferred)
This is my first time getting my hair cut here, I was looking for a short layers/wolfcut-ish type of cut, and Ikuo-san gave me exactly what I wanted based off my reference photos. Very friendly and quick service! I can tell they put lots of thought into their work here. Thank you again, will be back soon!
Mutsumi-san did a really great job with the haircut! She was supposed to go on lunch break but made a walk in accommodation for me and it was very efficient. We could even chat together in Japanese and overall she made me feel very welcome even though I was a new customer. $50 for the haircut + $5 for the shampoo. I can recommend Mutsumi-san's service to everyone!
