Empire Container Freight Station provides excellent service, with staff like Erica going above and beyond to meet deadlines. The company has a fast response time for releases and is knowledgeable about the import process. While some customers have had issues with freight forwarders and customs brokers leading to unexpected fees, Empire CFS is not responsible for these problems. With clear communication and education, first-time importers can avoid surprises and have a smooth experience with the company.
When I was picking up a shipment for the first time, the guy at the gate/parking lot he told me I had to turn around and go through another gate. As I was turning around I saw him let several other trucks and vans go through the gate with having to take the route around the back of the warehouse. Not sure why, but everyone at he warehouse that loaded my product were very professional and helpful since it was my first time there
Excellent service from Erica! I found myself in a bit of a predicament and wasn't sure how to proceed, but she promptly supplied all the necessary contacts and truly went the extra mile to ensure I met the deadline.
All the negative reviews here should actually be directed towards the freight forwarders they used. Seems like there was bad communication from the customs broker or the freight forwarder to the customers. Importing involves many fees AFTER arriving to the port of arrival, and it's up the the freight forwarder or the customs broker to educate these first time importers. I do agree that the rates have went up insanely over the past years, maybe 2-3x more than three years ago.My experience with Empire CFS has been great.
