“I was paying $70 for a haircut at a nice salon in Rancho Cucamonga. My haircut from Mateo (Matthew) looks BETTER than the $70 cut—better lines, perfectly parted. Also, it takes almost half the time than the pricey cut.Another thing, I grew up in this neighborhood and remember when this was a barber shop you ran from if you wanted a good cut, especially a fade or taper style. When Top Shelf took over, they brought in talented, young barbers who take such pride in their work. Every time I was in town and needed a cut, I came here. I ALWAYS got compliments on my haircut after getting it done at Top Shelf. It’s not the fanciest, but it’s one of the friendliest and the hospitality is first class without the pretensions of a “nice” salon. There’s a familial atmosphere here that makes someone like me—who doesn’t typically like the hyper masculine vibe in most barber shops—feel welcome and safe.Also, they had a young boy who had been in trouble at school doing chores to teach him discipline and keep him at of trouble. To see the way these young men mentored that kid warmed my heart. I wish there more establishments in the neighborhood making an effort to uplift and empower our youth.I’m proud to call this my neighborhood barber shop and HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend booking a cut with Mateo (Matthew). He’s a total pro, takes pride in his work, pays great attention to the little details, and made me look like a million bucks.Thank you, Mateo, and all the pros at Top Shelf. Those of us who are the OG’s of this neighborhood are grateful to have a barber shop with such high quality work, professionalism, and artistry.This is my new regular spot.“

“Today I went in for a regular cut. I was greeted promptly, and I think it was "Pink" who cut my hair (the certification on the wall had her name, so i'm assuming it is her). My wife usually cuts my hair, but I needed a cut for work on Thursday. The nice lady cut my hair in a timely manner, with some conversation mixed in about the snow and weather, and in no time it was done. I was very happy with the results, and felt the price was fair compared to other shops. The cut was better than more expensive places I have been to in the past. Thanks Richard's Barbershop.“
